There’s just no other way to say it: getting involved in missions work will change your life! Subtly or profoundly, it will change the way you see everything and everyone around you. Even more importantly, it will affect so many others, giving them the chance to see in their own lives the real-life power of Jesus Christ to be their savior, changing their heart, mind, body and soul.
Grace and Peace Mission would love to give you the opportunity to get involved in sharing in the life-changing work of Jesus here in the Dominican Republic.
What is God calling you to do?
Praying
Jesus is a missionary! The Son of God himself is the first and greatest missionary. The amount of time He spent teaching on prayer, the amount of time He spent praying, should be enough to convince anyone of the critical importance of prayer.
And the single, most important way you can get involved in the work of Grace and Peace Mission is through prayer. We need your prayers. So, please, pray for us. Pray for every member of Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship. Pray for our interns and for every work team that comes to serve "in the field" on a short-term missions trip. And, most importantly, pray for the people we are serving: for the children, and the medicine, healthy food and clean water. Pray that each and every one will come to know just how much Jesus loves them and will accept Him as both Lord and Savior.
If you’re ready to partner with Grace and Peace Mission in prayer, please click here and let us know. If you’d like, we can make sure you get our periodic newsletters and we can add you to our e-mail listso you’ll be up-to-date with all that’s going on and know of specific prayer requests as they arise.
[Yes, I’ll join the prayer team!]
Giving
Making the Great Commission a reality is a big job… it takes the whole Church. And Grace and Peace Mission has been blessed with people, companies, churches and other organizations that have chosen to support our work through their financial support, generously sharing their resources. God’s faithfulness through their generosity has helped us grow Christ’s kingdom and change lives.
We would be so grateful to have you join our team of financial supporters! But before giving to Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship, we would like to ask you to please prayerfully consider how God is calling you to give.
We would also like to ask you to prayerfully consider this. At Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship, we believe that every Christian should live within the means God has provided for them. If your gift to Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship would increase your debt, we would like you to please reconsider your gift.

Serving
Ready to jump out of the boat into the wind and waves? If you’re ready to open yourself up to an opportunity to grow spiritually by dedicating your time and talents to serve God and the people of the Dominican Republic, Grace and Peace Missions would love to have you join us as part of a short-term mission team or as a longer-term intern.
INTERNS:Grace and Peace has an Intern Application process where you may apply for an internship, come and serve alongside us and see if this is what you are called to do. Please go to the Download’s page and click on the Intern Manual.
MISSION TEAMS: Grace and Peace hosts many short-term missions teams through the year. If your church group, company or organization is interested in taking on the challenges and rewards of a one to two-week mission trip, Grace and Peace has many opportunities for you.
Free Medical Clinics: Through Grace and Peace’s Mobile Medicine Program, doctors, dentists and nurses from the United States have a unique opportunity to help conduct free medical clinics for the neediest Dominicans and Haitians. Traveling into the poor areas of Barahona and the surrounding country, medical teams will provide life-saving routine, preventative and emergency services, treating between 100 and 500 Dominicans and Haitians in a single free clinic, and providing them with desperately needed medicines.
Specialists such as cardiologists, optometrists and ophthalmologists, and dentists are especially needed. Please contact us us for more information on how you can help and learn more about the specialized equipment we already have on-site.
Building Projects: Teams looking to get their hands dirty are encouraged to come and help with several on-going building projects that include laying cement floors, the construction of widows' homes and the construction of churches. Teams may also help in the continued development of Grace and Peace’s Farm Project, a 45 acre farm that helps provide food for the Children’s Education Project, the Widow Program, area pastors and special Medical Clinic situations.
Widows & Children: Through Grace and Peace’s Widows Program and Children’s Program, missions teams can help serve the youngest in our community and those most-often forgotten.
Teams are needed to help continue to build Children’s Program which holds classes in Grace and Peace’s school three days a week - providing area children with much needed nutrition, helping them memorize the Word of God, learn proper hygiene as well as nurturing in them positive social behavior.
Mission teams are also needed to help with Grace and Peace’s Widows Program which delivers food and medicine to each widow’s home once a month, provides transportation to medical specialists for thorough check-ups, provides weekly Bible Studies, installs sanitary cement floors in homes with only dirt floors, and even builds homes for widows with nowhere to live.
Evangelism: And of course, teams can become involved in directly sharing the Word of God. Through street meetings, passing out tracts, and sharing at different churches within our community, teams can have the opportunity to make an eternal impact by sharing their faith and encouraging all those making a commitment for the Lord to attend churches in their area.
We deeply appreciate your interest in serving Jesus Christ and the people of the Dominican Republic by helping Grace and Peace Mission complete projects, participate in our day-to-day ministries and programs, help with our medical clinics and evangelize. You’ll need to be flexible. There will be joys as well as disappointments. And at times, it may even seem like things have gotten off track. But always look for the hand of God. Remember, this is a very different culture and a very different way of life. You’ll be amazed at how quickly some things happen, and may be surprised that at other times it takes a whole day to accomplish something that might have been done in an hour in America.
Thank you again for your willingness to donate your time, talent and finances to further the Kingdom here in the Dominican Republic. The mission the Lord has placed before us couldn’t be accomplished without you.
